Front Covers

I have looked at crunge/indie/alternative music magazines, as this is what genre I want my magazine to be. What I have noticed about magazine front covers is that the model is the first thing that catches your eye, meaning they must have the right look. When I am choosing my model, I will make sure he/she suits the kind of music my magazine represents.
On the Kerrang magazine, you can tell that the music is crunge as the font is bold and in-your-face, as is the colour theme of yellow black and white.
