The coursework guidelines state that our show must contain a news bulletin.
We looked into the types of news each radio station broadcasts. Sometimes it's local news, perhaps of an accident, fire, or death, sometimes they give traffic updates, or sometimes the news is more focussed on the time of year, for example drinking and driving at christmas or New Year. We also looked into the length of each news show and the features of a news broadcasts.
Here is an example of a news bulletin:

After deciding that we wanted to attract a family audience, we had to brainstorm ideas on what topic we wanted to broadcast and find one that would appeal to all ages.
After discussing within the group, we thought that the news would have to revolve around a family activity that included all family members of every gender and age so that not only everyone would enjoy it, but also listen and take note of its message and warning.
