My Photoshoot

  • For my photoshoot I had to consider the setting, the weather, the props and the outfit for my model.
  • The setting I chose was a field with a wood behind. I positioned my model in the middle of the field so that the grass would appear long and so that the trees of the wood would fill the background. Above the trees the sky filled the top part of the picture, this gives enough room for the name of the magazine to stand out above the actual image.
  • The weather affected the photoshoot in a good way. The sun provided lighting and the wind blew the models hair to create volume.
  • The prop I chose to use in my double page spread was the guitar. I have chosen this because it is a common instrument in country songs and acoustic guitars are featured in many country magazines with the model.
  • I chose an outfit of wellies and a checked shirt for the model because the wellies give the country/farm feel and the checked shirt gives the western look. Checked shirts are also very common on models in country magazines.
