Contents Page Research

•These contents pages are both packed full with all the information that will feature in the magazine.
•The name of the magazine stands out in the left top corner by either being a large font, bold or in a different colour to the background.
•The date of the issue and the issue number are also in the top banner with the name of the magazine and title of the page.
•Each magazine has a different way to introduce the page, whether it’s, ‘This week,’ or ‘Contents.’
•They both have columns with headings, E.g. Features. These columns are aligned to the left or right hand side of the page.
•Other information included in contents pages are subscribe sections. These encourage the reader to choose the subscribe offer because it has been put somewhere that will be seen often.
•More than one picture is put on the contents of ‘Q’ magazine which is a common feature of contents pages.
•The picture is of the band that will be featured in the magazine. There is also a caption on the side of the photograph telling the reader the page number the interview is on and a short summary of what they will be talking about.
• To make each magazine recognisable and stand out the contents also follows the colour scheme of three, which in the case of these two magazines is, red, black and white.
