When researching contents pages, I looked at magazines such as NME, Top of the Pops and Spin.
I found the common conventions of a contents page so when I was to produce mine, it would look realistic and appealing.
These are some of the images from the photo shoots that I used in my magazine. I editing the images in Photoshop to improve the appearance of them.
This is the main image that I used for my double page spread. I got inspiration from the Kerrang issue, where My Chemical Romance are shown. I also made my layout similar to the magazine because it looked professional and appealing.
When researching the common conventions of the double page spreads, I found that the majority of them use a large image on one half and the text on the opposite. So I decided to do this and used quotations in a large font so it would stand out.
I have made the text into an interview form which I found was interesting and very popular to the readers because it is not too formal.
I used this font for the title because it stood out from the rest of the magazine. It is similar to that of the SPIN magazine, so it relates to the common features of the fonts that music magazines have.
This is my completed version of my magazine. I included the main common conventions that are needed in order for a magazine to look professional. These included a large, clear title, eye-catching colour scheme, cover stories, a barcode and a bold, portrait image.
