First, I used a dropshadow effect because inside the picture it created a spot light effect because it draws attention to the centre of the picture.

I also used Brightness and contrast to make the different elements of the picture stand out. This was particularly helpful on the models eyes, which made them much bluer.


Over the top of the picture I added a pink fill layer, but i made the opacity 3%. This created a magenta look , and made the image look quite retro.


I added some Hue/saturation to the image as well because this furthered the retro feel and made the image look brighter.


Adding dust & speckles filter also creates a distorted effect, by adding this it also makes certain parts of the image stand out- her eyes for example.


As well as these edits I also used the spot healing brush to clean up blemishes. I also used the red eye tool to brighten her eyes, along with a linear burn effect on the brush.
