Further Double Page Spread Production...

I tested both edited images to see which one would reflect the pop-indie sub genre better. Though I really like the darker version (I created a black background with white text which matched the contents page and the image I've used here) I thought the genre was better reflected through the use of brighter colours and stand out images rather than the one above where Chloe appears washed out. I asked the opinions of other students in my class and found the majority (16/20) thought the brighter version below fitted better for my magazine.

As previously mentioned I added a white shape underneath the title text which made it stand out more and made it much clearer to read. I included an image below, as the space seemed empty, which I had edited using textures and brushes on photoshop. I also added pages numbers, the date and the magazine title together for sign-posting and relating the page to the rest of the magazine. The images I chose to use where different sizes so I found a way to position them that looked quirky but planned to catch the attention of the reader. The green bar on the left hand side of the page added a burst of cover and linked to the contents page where I used a similar shape for the band index.
