I uploaded my front cover, contents page and double page spread onto facebook and posted a status asking for people opinions. I figured this would be better than just asking my class as it would reach a wider audience. Most of my facebook contacts are within my target audience (female students aged 16-19) though people outside this commented.
The overall perception of it was that it looked professional. The genre and target audience are clearly understood and the colour scheme and layout are popular. One comment 'Too girly for me but the layout is sick*" is evidence that the magazine is target at girls. One person liked the use of the + symbol as opposed to using the word 'plus' as a common convention of music magazine band listings.
