Contents Page Analysis...

This is a contents page from Drummer magazine.

The first thing i noticed was the large black and white image of a drummer. This clearly shows the idea of the magazine being about drummers. The bold title also stands out. This convention is used in several popular magazine such as NME who print the name in the top left corner of the contents page. The images are labled with page numbers but aren't captioned so the audience have to read the features list to find out more. This contents page doesn't include an editors note, a feature I plan to include in my magazine.

This is the layout for my contents page. On the left I will included my magazine title 'FANATIC' in the same font as the cover to make it flow continuously and a band index similar to that seen in NME. The right side with include sub-headings such as 'Features' and the contents. In the centre I will include three images of different bands, and image of the editor and an editors letter.
