Q magazine has less writing on the front cover rather than other magazines e.g. NME so this shows that the magazine is quite simplistic. It has a simple title and usually a large single image on the cover which gives it a professional look and reflects the target audience being older. The magazine has the colour schemes of red, white and black but some grey appears on the background to make the text stand out and be easily read. It doesnt have a particular genre which makes it appeal to a wider range of people.
