Interrogation Scene

Our AS coursework piece is a film based upon an interrogation between cops and a murderer. As a group we drafted some ideas as initial research as shown:

Themes – Cop/Detective/Horror
Names - Sullivan, Truman, Bruce, Cindy, Stella, Carmen
Ideas
Interrogation, Crime Scene, Round Story (End at the beginning)
Prison Break theme. Renamed as College Break!
Guy hits deck, randomly, then goes to plot....
“where were you between the hours of....”, cut to crime scene, before anything has happened, for about 2 seconds, then back to interrogation and murderer “ no comment” *grins*, back to crime scene ( panning round location ) blood everywhere. Back to interrogation cops ask more questions, still no comment, back to crime scene with inconspicuous ending e.g. hands on floor. Back to int. Cops get angry, close up on murderer face, same expression, they push him, and see blood on his shirt.... *Name of film* Phones in murderer!

Plot
We took inspiration for the plot of our film from the film 'Twin Peaks' and other crime series such CSI, Law and Order and Sherlock Holmes.

Our plot is an interrogation scene between cops and a murderer. The murderer remains mostly silent during the film however small expressions throughout give away what he is thinking. The cops carrying out the interrogation question the murderer, but they soon realise the man himself is willing to give nothing away. This leads to a sudden build in tension and creates an eery atmosphere which soon takes the camera shot away to the murder location. This becomes the finishing shot to the opoening sequence, ending it on a suspicious cliffhanger.

Characters
The inspiration for our characters were also based upon modern day crime series, such as the murderer who refuses to give details on his mysterous crime and the cops at the interrogation scene. We chose not to feature the victim within the film as it has been intentionally shot as an opening sequence.
