Prelimary Task

Here is the front cover from my group's prelim. This magazine was designed as a college magazine, so all the stories and everything had to be related to college. As you can see, there are quite a low amount of stories and text, though we did keep to a colour scheme. We decided, as the band advertised (modelled by us) is supposed to be rocky, so we dcecided the magazine colour scheme should be red, white and black, as those colours stereotypically are associated with "rock". We, however, got everthing on the front cover that's required, i.e, barcode, price, issue number, stories etc.

Here is my contents page from my group's prelim. The colour scheme has been kept to and the images have all been edited and look moderately professional. The contents page has been split up into sections, i.e. "gigs", "news" etc, as many magazines do this because it makes the contents look more orderly, and makes it easier for the reader to read and find what they want. There's a consistancy with the fonts used and it seems easy for the reader to read. It does, however, look empty and looks as though it needs more colour and stories. The page number is on there though, which is required in magazines.
